释义 | Grayson, Cary TraversGrayson, Cary Travers,1878–1938, American naval officer and surgeon, b. Culpeper co., Va. As a physician he entered (1903) the U.S. navy, was graduated (1904) from the navy medical school, and after further service and study became (1916) medical director with the rank of rear admiral. He was personal physician to Presidents Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Woodrow Wilson. Grayson was twice (1933, 1937) inaugural committee chairman for Franklin Delano Roosevelt and was chosen (1935) chairman of the American Red Cross. |
