Health Technology Assessment Programme

A national (UK) programme of research established and funded by the Department of Health’s National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), which weighs the costs, effectiveness, appropriateness and global impact of technologies used by health professionals to promote health; prevent, diagnose or treat disease; rehabilitate; provide long-term care; and assess the broader impact of such technologies for those who plan, provide or receive care in the NHS.
