Location:Site includes the Truman Home in Independence, Missouri, and the Truman Farm Home in Grandview, Missouri. Both units are within the Kansas City metropolitan area. The visitor center in Independence is located at the intersection of Truman Rd. and Main St., in historic Fire Station No.1. The Truman Farm Home in Grandview is located in the retail and commercial district along Blue Ridge Blvd.

Special Features:The site preserves the residences of Harry S Truman, the 33rd President. The Truman Home was his residence from 1919 until his death in 1972, and was called the "Summer White House" during his administration (1945-1953). The site includes three other homes that were part of the family compound. The Truman Farm Home in Grandview was his residence from 1906 to 1917. It was the hub of a 600-acre family farming operation.
