Hollick-Kenyon
Hollick-Kenyon
a glacial plateau in the central part of Western Antarctica, west of the Ellsworth Mountains. The surface of the continental glacial cover has elevations ranging from 1,500 m to 2,000 m; the ice is between 2,000 and 3,000 m thick. The Hollick-Kenyon Plateau was discovered in 1935 when it was seen from an airplane by an American expedition under the leadership of L. Ellsworth. It was named for the pilot, H. Hollick-Kenyon.
