Location:In Lake Superior, southeast of Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula.

Special Features:West Huron Island includes a lighthouse that was built in 1868 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Habitats: 147 acres on 8 islands with habitats of ground-level vegetation, sparse red pines and white birch, and barren granite with scattered lichen growth.
Access: Only West Huron Island (Lighthouse Island) is open for public visitation.
Wild life: Herring gulls, merlins, bald eagles, and gulls.
