Granadilla the edible fruits of several tropical species of Passiflora (the passionflowers), family Passifloraceae. (Pas-siflora quadrangularis winters well in subtropical regions of the USSR.) Granadillas are reddish, orange, or greenish berries that range in size from that of a plum to a small melon; they are similar in taste to the gooseberry or pomegranate.
