Hsinchiang
Hsinchiang
(also Hsin Ho), a river in eastern China. The Hsinchiang is 312 km long and drains an area of 16,800 sq km. It originates in the Yüling Range and flows into Lake P’oyang (Yangtze River basin). It is navigable by junks for a distance of 200 km. The valley of the Hsinchiang is densely populated and almost entirely under cultivation. The cities of Yüshan, Shangjao, Kueich’i, and Yingt’an are situated on the river.
