Iavorov

a city (since 1939) and the administrative center of Iavorov Raion, L’vov Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Iavorov is situated on the Shklo River (a tributary of the San), 53 km northwest of L’vov. The city has a railroad station. Industry is represented by the Metalloplastmass Plant, the Iavir Plant, a shop of the L’vovderevprom Association, and branches of the Rava-Russkii Butter Factory and the Komarno Wood-products Combine. The city has a museum of history and ethnography.
