Established: 1983.
Location:Northwest of Drummond Island in Potagannissing Bay on Lake Huron.
Facilities:Trails.
Activities:Fishing, swimming, hunting.
Special Features:Harbor Island features matures stands of balsam fir, white cedar, paper birch, sugar maple and red oak.
Habitats: 700-acre island with a marshy harbor, sandy beaches, and forest.
Access: By boat only; open during daylight hours when weather permits.
Wild life: A variety of birds and mammals, among them fox, grouse, snowshoe hare, white-throated sparrow, gray jay, and eagles. Timber wolves may hunt in the refuge in winter.
