Aphrosalpingidea

 

a class of extinct marine invertebrates remotely resembling the Archaeocyathi and conventionally classified with them. The Aphrosalpingidea have been discovered in Upper Silurian deposits. They had narrow conical or cylindrical cup shapes, sometimes branching 3–5 mm in diameter, and led a sessile way of life.
