释义 | Hopkins, ArthurHopkins, Arthur (Melancthon)(1878–1950) theater producer; born in Cleveland. He began his career as a journalist, but soon moved to the theater. As a Broadway producer, he was most interested in bringing out new talent. He did so with the Barrymores: John in Richard III (1920), Ethel in Romeo and Juliet (1922), and Lionel in Macbeth (1921). His successes ranged from The Poor Little Rich Girl (1913) to The Magnificent Yankee (1946). |
