High LTV Equity Loan

High LTV Equity Loan

A home equity loan in which the amount of the loan approaches (or possibly exceeds) the owner equity in the home that acts as collateral. Like other home equity loans, a high LTV equity loan is borrowed against the value of one's home. Because a high LTV equity loan represents a comparatively high risk for the lender, it may come with a high interest rate compared to other home equity loans. See also: Loan-to-value.
