Established: 1990.
Location:In northeastern Louisiana, 6 miles north of Bastrop.
Facilities:Observation tower, trails.
Activities:Hiking, rabbit hunting (in February).
Special Features:Once bottomland hardwood tracts that were cleared for agriculture, refuge lands have been reforested and wetlands have been restored.
Habitats: 20,000 acres of reforested and restored wetlands.
Access: Year round during daylight hours.
Wild life: Waterfowl, shore birds, raptors, wading birds, and other wetland species.
