Humphreys series

[′həm·frēz ‚sir·ēz] (spectroscopy) A series of lines in the infrared spectrum of atomic hydrogen whose wave numbers are given by RH (1/36) -(1/ n 2), where RH is the Rydberg constant for hydrogen, and n is any number greater than 6.
