释义 | Gore, Al From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary EnglishGore, AlAl GoreGore, Al /æl/(1948–) a US politician in the Democratic Party. He was the vice-president of the US from 1993 to 2001. In 2000 he lost the election for US president, though the number of votes for each was very close and had to be counted again. Now he is better known as an environmental campaigner. He appeared in the documentary An Inconvenient Truth which won an Oscar. In 2007 he received the Nobel Peace Prize. |
