Wister

Trent had sought refuge in the barn after the killing of his companion, Wister, in their hold-up of the Canadian Special train.

When evening came, I found myself lying with others on the sidewalk in front of the Wister house.

Mrs. Wister is an excellent example of what might more correctly be called a “paraphraser” than a “translator.”

I dared not decypher all that Mrs. Wister wrote in my behalf—because I knew it must be sincere!
