usage note for transsexual

Transsexual originated in medical contexts. Now it is considered offensive by most younger transgender people and allies who feel it is overly concerned with physicality and external aspects of transgender identity rather than the emotional and internal aspects. It is still sometimes used by older transgender people who have been using the term transsexual to describe their own identity for years. See also transgender.
