1. (= 重复) again
   ⇒ 今天他又来了。 (Jīntiān tā yòu lái le.) He came again today.
2. (= 同时)
   ⇒ 车开得又快又稳。 (Chē kāi de yòu kuài yòu wěn.) The car drives fast and smoothly.
   ⇒ 她是一个好教师，又是一个好妈妈。 (Tā shì yī gè hǎo jiàoshī, yòu shì yī gè hǎo māma.) She's both a good teacher and a great mother.
3. (= 也) too
   ⇒ 天黑了，路又滑，最好别出门。 (Tiān hēi le, lù yòu huá, zuì hǎo bié chūmén.) It's dark, and the roads are slippery too — you'd better not go out.
4. (= 另外) another
   ⇒ 家里又买了一个书架。 (Jiā li yòu mǎile yī gè shūjià.) They bought another set of bookshelves for their home.
