京剧 (jīngjù) is a form of Chinese traditional opera which enjoys a history of over two hundredyears, and is regarded as one of the most important Chinese cultural heritages. Theperformances combine singing, acting, music, dialogue, dancing and acrobatics. Differentroles follow different patterns of acting, which are all rather symbolic, suggestiveand exaggerated.
