McQueen, AlexanderMc‧Queen, Al‧ex‧an‧der /məˈkwiːn, ælɪɡˈzɑːndə $ -ˈzændər/ (1969-2010) a British fashion designer who was chief designer at the French company Givenchy and who later started his own fashion company. He was known for his exciting and unusual designs, and for bumsters, a type of jeans which are worn low on the hips. His designs were popular with many famous people. He killed himself in 2010. |
