Beveridge Report, theBev‧er‧idge Re‧port, the /ˈbevərɪdʒ rɪˌpɔːt $ -ɔːrt/an important report produced by the British economist William Beveridge in 1942. It introduced the idea of the welfare state (=the idea that the government should provide free health care, and money for old people and for people who cannot get a job).
