Origin: A borrowing from Spanish. Etymon: Spanish casita.
Etymology: < Spanish casita small house (a1588) < casa house (see casa n.3) + -ita , diminutive suffix (see -et suffix1).
Now chiefly North American.
A small house or residence; esp. a cabin or bungalow. Later also: a residential style of guest accommodation, esp. in a holiday resort.
