Etymology: Ultimately < Greek καχεκτικός in a bad habit of body. Compare cachexy n. Cachectique occurs in French in 16th cent.; modern Latin cachecticus is probably still earlier.
Of or pertaining to cachexy; affected with or characterized by cachexy or a bad state of body.
