/zəˈpɑːtə/, U.S. /zəˈpɑdə/ Used attributively to designate a type of moustache in which the two ends extend downwards to the chin. Zapata was portrayed with a moustache of this kind by Marlon Brando in the film Viva Zapata! in 1952.
