1970 Biotechnol. & Bioengin. XII. 75 Previous publications from this Laboratory have reported batch fermentations to produce a biopolymer, xanthan, using Xanthomonas campestris.
1972 Materials & Technol. V. 44 Xanthan gum is used in oil well drilling muds, because of its heat stability and tolerance of salts.
