Etymology: < post-classical Latin admensuration-, admensuratio apportionment (from late 12th cent. in British sources), measurement, moderation, restriction, assessment (of liability) (from 13th cent. in British sources) < admensurat- , past participial stem of admensurare admeasure v. + classical Latin -iō -ion suffix1. Compare Anglo-Norman admensuratione (see admeasurement n.) and also amensurer , variant of amesurer admeasure v. Compare earlier admeasuring n. and admeasurement n.
Now rare.
