Obsolete (chiefly Scottish after early 18th cent.).
Full of good will; benevolent, kindly, generous; favourably disposed to. Also: ready, willing. Cf. goodwilly adj., well-willed adj.In quot. a1413: Astrology (of a planet) propitious, benign.
