Etymology: < water n. + caster n. In sense 1 after to cast water at cast v. 40.
1. derogatory. A person who diagnoses illness on the basis of the visual inspection of urine, a uroscopist; (more generally) a quack. Cf. piss-prophet n. In later use English regional (northern). Now historical.In quot. 1681: a person who makes astrological predictions based on the inspection of urine; cf. uroscopy n. 2.
