Etymology: < the name of Aby Warburg (1866–1929), German-Jewish cultural historian + -ian suffix.
Of, pertaining to, or characteristic of Warburg or his work, or the Warburg Institute, founded (1904) by him in Hamburg as Kulturwissenschaftliche Bibliothek Warburg but subsequently (1933) transferred to London.
