Computing.
In computer-based modelling or graphic simulation: each of an array of hexahedral (usually cubic) elements that collectively constitute a representation of a three-dimensional space or image, each representing a single unit of volume.

The physical meaning of this is that the gray level of the voxel (i,j,k) at time t is I(i,j,k,t).
