Origin: Apparently formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: un- prefix1, swallowable adj.
Etymology: Apparently < un- prefix1 + swallowable adj. (although this is first attested slightly later).
1. Impossible to accept or endure; (also) impossible to credit, unbelievable. Often in figurative context (see sense 2).
