Origin: Formed within English, by derivation; partly modelled on an Italian lexical item, and partly modelled on a Spanish lexical item. Etymons: un- prefix2, nosed adj.
Etymology: < un- prefix2 + nosed adj., originally after Italian snasato (1598 in Florio, or earlier: compare quot. 1598), in later use (in quots. 1620, a1739) after Spanish desnarigado (second half of the 16th cent.). Compare slightly later unnose v.
Obsolete.
Having had the nose removed.
