Etymology: < un- prefix1 + quit out, past participle of to quit out to free (land or property) from adjudication by full payment of an encumbering debt ( < quit v. + out adv. (see quit v. 6a; compare outquit v.)).
Scottish. Obsolete. rare.
As past participle. Of land or property: not freed from adjudication, because of non-payment of an encumbering debt. Cf. unquit adj. 1.
