Etymology: Apparently < the reflex of Old English uncȳme mean, paltry, poor (see comely adj.) + -leche suffix Compare uncomely adj.In the Titus manuscript of Hali Meiðhad (see variant reading in quot.) apparently misread as if showing an otherwise unattested verb uncunneleche to render unnatural ( < unkin n. + -leche suffix).
Obsolete. rare.
