Chemistry.
In trithionic acid, H2S3O6, an acid containing three atoms of sulphur in the molecule, discovered by Langlois in 1842 ( Ann. Chim. Phys. IV. 77), known only in aqueous solution, which is inodorous, sour, and bitter, and in its salts, the triˈthionates n.
