A formative of the names of carbon compounds containing three SO₂ groups, or three SO₂.OH groups, and derivatives of the latter. (trisulphone n., and trisulphonic adj. at trisulphone n. Derivatives, with trisulphonate n. at trisulphone n. Derivatives, now also express these meanings.)
