(in full tomentum cerebri) the flocculent inner surface of the pia mater, consisting of numerous minute vessels entering the brain and spinal cord. Obsolete. [In tomentum cerebri after scientific Latin tomentum cerebri downy lining of the brain (1778 or earlier).]
