Palisot de Beauvois Prodome des cinquieme et sixieme familles de l'aethéogamie (1805)). Compare scientific Latin aetheogamia, group name (A. M. F. J. Palisot de Beauvois 1806). N.E.D. (1884) gives the pronunciation as (eˌī·þĭogæm) /eɪˈiːθɪəʊɡæm/.

Botany. Obsolete. rare. Apparently only attested in dictionaries or glossaries.
