Origin: A borrowing from French. Etymon: French esthésodique.
Etymology: < French esthésodique (M. Schiff 1854, in Comptes rendus hebd. de l'Acad. des Sci. 38 930) < ancient Greek αἴσθησις aesthesis n. + ὁδός way, path (see -ode comb. form2) + French -ique -ic suffix.
Physiology. Now rare.
