Obsolete. rare.
That tickles or itches. Cf. tittle v.2In quot. with reference to 2 Timothy 4:3. The verb itch is used in rendering this passage in English translations of the Bible of the early 16th century. In the King James Version (1611), the passage is rendered ‘After their owne lusts shall they heape to themselues teachers, hauing itching eares’.
