1980 H. N. Eisen Immunol. (ed. 2) xviii. 416/2 Thymopoietin, a small protein (49 amino acid residues), has been sequenced and synthesized. It causes pre-T cells..to become somewhat sensitive to mitogens, but not to become immunologically competent.
