1970 Science 18 Sept. 1213/1 Tilorone hydrochloride, the orange, water-soluble dihydrochloride salt of 2,7-bis[2-(diethylamino)ethoxy]fluoren-9-one, is a broad spectrum, orally active antiviral agent.
1978 Nature 29 June 760/1 Tilorone, statolon and Newcastle disease virus (NDV), all potent inducers of interferon in mice, induced a marked increase in spleen cell cytotoxicity.
