Used as an exclamation accompanying the revealing of one's face in the game of ‘teetie-bo’, or playfully announcing one's presence to someone; ‘peekaboo’. Cf. earlier titbore tatbore int., teet-bo int. Sc. National Dict. records the interjection as still use in the north of Scotland in 1972.
