单词 brisket
释义

brisketn.

Brit. /ˈbrɪskɪt/, U.S. /ˈbrɪskᵻt/
Forms: Middle English brusket(te, 1500s Scottish briscat, (1600s bysket, 1700s Scottish bisket), 1600s– brisket.
Etymology: Identical in meaning, and apparently in form, with French brechet (in Cotgrave bruchet, in 16th cent. brichet, 14th cent. bruschet, brischet, which Littré derives from the English; but this seems unlikely. The Breton bruchet and Welsh brysced, appear to be adopted < French and English respectively.
