Etymology: < classical Latin supermeāt-, past participial stem of (see -ate suffix3) of supermeāre to pass or flow over < super- super- prefix + meāre to go, pass (see meatus n.). Compare permeate v.
Obsolete. rare. Apparently only attested in dictionaries or glossaries.
