Etymology: < super- prefix + introduction n., chiefly after ancient Greek ἐπεισαγωγή.In quotations 1647, 1882 after Hellenistic Greek use of ancient Greek ἐπεισαγωγή in the New Testament (Hebrews 7:19; the Vulgate has post-classical Latin introductio introduction n. in this passage).
