1832 Amer. Monthly Rev. Aug. 135 As a well authenticated instance of extreme longevity,..this supercentenarian is better worthy of notice than Cornaro himself.
1844 Leicester Chron. 30 Mar. It is no uncommon thing to meet announcements in the Russian journals, of deaths of persons ranging in age from 100 up to 145 years! Many of these super-centenarians, however, have probably borrowed half-a-century.
1856 Lancet 5 Jan. 10/2 Men arrive at the period of eighty, ninety, or a hundred years, or become, indeed, super-centenarians, without exhibiting those characteristics.
1926 Tyrone (Pa.) Daily Herald 1 May 6/5 Ireland..has produced a supercentenarian. He is William Smith of Dromara, County Down, who has celebrated his one hundred and twenty-fifth birthday.
