Etymology: < Greek βοανεργές ( Mark iii. 17), probably representing Hebrew b'nēy regesh (or its Aramaic equivalent), explained as ‘sons of thunder’.

The name given by Christ to the two sons of Zebedee. Hence, often as a singular (plural -es, -esses), a loud vociferous preacher or orator.
