1955 J. McAndrew & T. R. Scott in Nature 10 Sept. 509/2 The presence of stillwellite was discovered in 1954 during a mineralogical investigation of radioactive ore..34 miles east of Mt. Isa in north-western Queensland.
1971 Doklady Earth Sci. CCI. 182/1 The above data on our synthesis of the lanthanum analogs of stillwellite indicate that this borosilicate may be more widespread in nature than was previously thought.
