Etymology: < the name of the Prussian commander Field-Marshal von Blücher /blʏçər/ (1742–1819), but commonly mispronounced /ˈblʊtʃə(r)/ or /ˈbluːkə(r)/.Previous versions of the OED give the stress as: ˈblucher.
